In the 2009 European Communication Monitor study more than 1,850 respondents from 34 countries named major challenges and developments. Some of the key findings are: internal communication and social networks are on the rise; only 6 out of 10 practitioners help to define business strategies; most practitioners measure neither investments nor business impacts; 85% of European communication professionals are members of social networks.
The study is conducted annually by the European Public Relations Education and Research Association (EUPRERA) and the European Association of Communication Directors (ECAD).
