Graduate students in public relations/communications are encouraged to apply for the new Grunig PRIME Research Fellowship UK. Deadline for applications is 19 March 2010. The fellowship includes £4,000 stipend plus housing during a 6-week fellowship in Oxford, UK. Applicants should have completed at least one year of study toward a graduate degree and at least one research methodology course. Applicants outside of the UK are responsible for obtaining any necessary visa and for meeting all entry requirements into the UK. At the end of the 6-week experience, the Fellow will contribute a paper to the body of knowledge in applied public relations research.
This is the second fellowship named for James and Larissa Grunig, professors emeriti at the University of Maryland and leaders in the public relations field. The fellowship is administered by the Institute for Public Relations Research and Education. The Institute is an independent nonprofit that bridges the academy and the profession, supporting PR research and mainstreaming this knowledge into practice through PR education.
