Honouring members @World Conference

Two of our local leaders will be honoured at IABC World Conference in San Francisco in June. Susan Walker and Neil Griffiths will receive awards for their contribution to IABC and the communications profession.

IABC’s World Conference takes place in San Francisco from 14-17 June.  This year’s theme is “Changing the Landscape: Informing the Future”. You can choose from more than 80 sessions, including the Rapido session, mastered by our very own Ezri Carlebach (@ezriel).

Neil Griffiths, EMENA Past Chair

During the Excellence Awards Gala on Monday 15, two EMENA leaders will be honoured: former EMENA Chair Neil Griffiths will receive the Rae Hamlin award for his contribution to IABC as “one of the founding members of the Global Communications Certification Council, Neil helped shepherd the development of the Communication Management Professional (CMP) exam, that will be offered for the first time during this year’s World Conference. Working closely with other members of the Council, Neil exhibited a diligence to assure this new program not only meets ISO standards but also honors the values of its predecessor, the ABC,”IABC’s Chair Russell Grossman says.

Susan Walker

Susan Walker, who has been an IABC member for more than 20 years will receive the Chairman’s Award, her involvement includes Past President of the UK chapter and VP Membership, and currently VP or its professional development organizing program. She has been a Gold Quill Awards Blue Ribbon Panel evaluator and co-organizer for Europe Leadership Institute as well as EuroComm 2015. Susan has presented at IABC conferences in Vancouver, Los Angeles, New York, Dublin, Moscow, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.
