There’s been a lot of change recently, in IABC, and in the communications profession. On 5-6 October, all the leaders in chapters throughout our region are invited to join us in Delft, one of the most attractive and historic communities in Holland, as we look at these changes. Together, we will build a strategy and plan for making the most of these changes and grow our impact, locally and regionally.
Day 1, which will involve our Regional Board, chapter leaders, interested members and select guests, will start with the big picture, from three different perspectives: personal leadership, chapter growth and regional impact. In the second part of Day 1, these three perspectives will be brought together into a regional strategy, and then focused on three new areas: partnerships, regional gatherings (such as EuroComm), and training/certification. After the workshop, you may join me at my home near Delft’s historic centre to continue the conversation over snacks and regional beverages.
Day 2 will be a Board Meeting, which will take the outputs of the workshop and turn them into a plan of action. Chapter leaders and IABC member guests are welcome to attend.
The venue will be Buccaneer Delft, an accelerator for energy firms hosted in a complex of historic buildings near the walkable city centre. A range of available hotels in walking distance can be found here. Delft station is 40 minutes or less from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport by train, and the station is about 20 minutes from Buccaneer Delft. The evening event venue, my home, is a five-minute walk from Buccaneer Delft.
