IABC EMENA Partners with PRCA

“We are committed to providing the best opportunities for our members to advance the communication industry.” Ana Margarida Ximenes, Chair, IABC EMENA Region

Next month board members from the Europe, Middle East, North Africa (EMENA) Region of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) will team up with the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) to participate in The 2021 PRCA International Summit.

“We are excited to have IABC partner with us for our annual global event,” said PRCA’s International Director, Melissa Cannon. “Last year’s Summit had over 700 delegates from 35 countries. And this year is set to be another tremendous opportunity for the international community to come together and hear from some of the world’s most innovative brands, like TikTok and Google, to discuss topics that are relevant in today’s ever-changing, dynamic world.”

The EMENA Region is one of eight IABC regions worldwide providing opportunities for members to strengthen their communication skills, make new connections, and collaborate on challenging topics.

“The opportunity to participate with PRCA is a great example of our commitment to expanding opportunities across the region,” said Dr. Kendi Guantai, vice chair for the EMENA board, and panelist for the upcoming Summit. “We believe that one of the best ways to advocate for our profession is to continuously look for opportunities to connect with like-minded professionals, and this Summit is just one example.”

Over the past three months the EMENA Region has hosted several podcasts and a webinar focusing on such topics as inclusion and personal branding. Additionally, EMENA participated in a cross-regional event with IABC’s Africa and Asia Pacific (APAC) Regions and is currently planning for the next event with Africa and APAC, which will be held in April.
