An interview with newly nominated IABC Fellow Caroline Sapriel

Following the recent announcement of Caroline Sapriel’s nomination as Fellow of the IABC, Stephen Welch, past chair of the IABC EMENA region, conducted an interview with Caroline. During their conversation they discussed Caroline’s career highlights, her journey to becoming an IABC fellow, and what IABC can do to help its members’ professional development.

With more than 30 years of experience in communications and PR, Caroline and her partner run their own international crisis management consultancy, CS&A. They provide their clients with an integrated approach to crisis preparedness, emergency crisis response, crisis communication, and business continuity after a crisis. CS&A is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

“I am delighted to have been selected as a fellow of the class 2021,” said Sapriel. “It is a real honour.” Sapriel discusses how she got started with IABC and expands on her career progression. She also shares her insights for upcoming professionals who want to get ahead in this line of work.

“Learn, engage, ask questions,” Sapriel offers. “Do not just rest on what is comfortable and just use Instagram because everyone uses Instagram. The communications profession is so much more.”
