The Language of Leaders

25 February 2009 | 18:00 - 20:00 GMT

Language can do more than reflect our culture: it can define it. But it’s still unexplored territory for many organisations.

The Language of Leaders will show how public and private sector organisations have reaped real bottom-line benefits by changing the way they use language. Through interactive exercises and case studies, Vincent Franklin and Rhys Williams from language consultancy, Quietroom, will show attendees how to:

  • Make their vision more engaging, memorable and relevant
  • Improve their personal impact
  • Look outside business, from Shakespeare and Puccini to Roosevelt and Churchill, to become better leaders and communicators
  • Use language to drive cultural and commercial change.

Here’s what leaders at HM Revenue & Customs have to say about previous events:

“It’s tempting to think you’ve heard it all before – but with this session that wasn’t the case. There’s stuff in here that we’ll use across all our channels.”

“I came wondering what it would be about, hoping it was not going to be “management speak”. What I have experienced is motivating, thoroughly enjoyable but more importantly, thought-provoking and usable.”

“The best event I’ve been to in 25 years.”

Booking is essential.
