The Gold Quill Awards is IABC’s premier programme recognising and fostering excellence in the field of business communication.
For more than 40 years, IABC’s Gold Quill Awards have recognised and awarded excellence in strategic communication worldwide. The Gold Quill Awards honour the dedication, innovation and passion of communicators on a global scale with a focus on achieving solid business outcomes.
Since 2008, more than 5,000 projects have been entered in the Gold Quill Awards. The IABC Gold Quill Awards program recognises business communication excellence globally, and is acknowledged as one of the most prestigious awards programs in the industry.
Their case studies are featured in IABC’s online magazine, Communication World and are preserved as best-practice examples in IABC’s online library. The Gold Quill winners symbolise communication achievement at its height.

A team of volunteer IABC members from around the world give their time and expertise each year to evaluate the Gold Quill entries. Many members who have been selected to evaluate IABC Gold Quill Awards entries consider it a privilege to review some of the best communication work in the world. The role of evaluator is extremely important – not only in selecting the best work, but in educating entrants and helping them develop as communication professionals. Evaluators are expected to complete a short virtual training session to align on evaluation standards and processes.
