IABC EVENT – How to Make Work Work, with Sheila Parry

This month sees the launch of a new book by communications consultant and IABC member, Sheila Parry.

“Take Pride: How to Build Organisational Success Through Your People” calls on leaders and influencers to adopt a dual perspective of work, considering not only their organisational goals and interests, but what makes people tick as well.

In this first event in IABC UK’s ‘year of listening’, IABC UK President Howard Krais, will lead a panel-style debate about what we as individuals can do to manage our own destiny at work.

We will think about how to find the organisations that fit with our personal values, how we can influence organisational culture from within and how we can develop our own sense of pride in what we do.

We will also hear more about how Sheila’s five factors of Pride play out in real life, what makes or breaks pride and what to look for in the perfect job.

Joining Sheila and Howard Krais on the panel will be Christina Fee, Interim Internal Communications Manager, DS Smith, and Joss Mathieson, until recently VP, Global Head of Internal Communications at GSK.

The event is kindly being hosted by recruitment specialists VMA Group at their Bedford Square offices on 10th October.

Tickets, available now, are free to IABC members and cost £30 for non members.
