In 2024, the IABC EMENA Region is proud to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
We’ve had members in Europe since the 1970s, with an IABC UK chapter founded in 1979 by a small group of communicators, including Tony Buckley, Ian Hawkins and Peter Jackson.
In 1984, the Europe Middle East (EME) Region was formed with Tony Buckley as the first regional director, followed by John Ford.
In 2013, North Africa was added with members based in Egypt and Tunisia.
