As summer slides into autumn and we look towards the cosy months I encourage you to reach out and connect with fellow IABC members to share ideas, seek support, and keep our community vibrant through the winter.
As a part of our 2024/25 board strategy to revitalize our local communities, I am pleased to share that we’re rebuilding our presence in Brussels. Nicholas Bruneau, our board member responsible for our new communities initiative, is working with Brussels-based communications professional, Ruxandra Boslica to bring our people back together with informal networking. Ruxandra and I met with other communication professionals in Brussels for after-work drinks at BrewDog on 10 September to discuss this and listen. We aim to bring back knowledge-sharing sessions and a Brussels City Connect. This will only be possible with your support.
Please reach out to Nicholas and Ruxandra on LinkedIn today and thank them for their generosity of time towards the IABC. All of us on the regional board also volunteer our time. If you can support or have connections in Brussels who might be interested, please connect.
Thank you to the inspiring people I met at our regional reception at the IABC World Conference in Chicago, who spoke with me about this need. From here we look to build out further location and topic-based communities across our region. I’d also invite you to consider hosting a City Connect in the coming year if you have a local community of professionals you want to bring together for a knowledge-sharing and networking event.
You can find out more information on our website events page about how we can support you in hosting and promoting this with the IABC EMENA brand.
I’m listening. We’re listening.
