Hi everyone,
August is meant to be a quieter month, but it’s been anything but! I’m counting down to my holiday at the end of September – we’re heading back to Walt Disney World to celebrate our one-year wedding anniversary.
The Board met this month to build on our strategy session and review the autumn events calendar. It’s filling up fast, so keep an eye on the events page of our website – and this newsletter, of course!
I’m especially looking forward to co-hosting the newly announced second London Unfiltered event in October with Katie Macaulay of AB. We’re also just weeks away from the Communication Leadership Summit in Brussels, and Warsaw City Connect is coming up on 12 September.
On a personal note, I’ve been diving deep into change management and communication this month, developing practical toolkits for a client. I’m always intrigued by why people resist change, so I wanted to highlight a great Catalyst article by Mel Loy, SCMP®: How People Respond to Change and What That Means for Your Communication – well worth a read.
Finally, I’m pleased to welcome Irene Bonciani as our new Community Lead for Brussels. Huge thanks to Ruxandra-Laura Bosilca for her brilliant work last year, which continues in her Board role as Director of Sponsorship & Partnership. Wishing you a great month ahead!
