Dear IABC EMENA Region Members
I’m so pleased to share this first region update for 2022-23. It’s an honour to serve as your Region Chair and work alongside such a fantastic board – meet this year’s leadership team. A huge thanks to Dr Kendi Guantai for her tremendous leadership and guidance as Region Chair 2021-22.
There’s so much talent in our community across the EMENA Region. It was wonderful to meet with so many of you at the recent IABC World Conference in New York City and hear from the many experts representing our region. Check out the wrap-up of world conference.
What’s in store for EMENA in the coming months?
We have an exciting program of activity planned, including an in-person member meetup in Barcelona as part of our City Connect Series. If you’re in Barcelona – or need an excuse to visit – we look forward to welcoming you at our networking and drinks event on 7 September.
For those based in the UK, it’s all happening in London the following week with the UK & Ireland Chapter half-day conference on 14 September. With a focus on how you can turbocharge your communications, there’s a fantastic speaker line-up and great rates for members.
For many of us in the region, this is the time of the year where we unwind and relax over the summer. For some summer listening, check out the IABC EMENA Region podcast series led by the talented Monique Zytnik, including the latest podcast on the dance between tech and internal communications.
